The royalty calculation for books on Amazon depends on the format (eBook or paperback) and the pricing choices made by the author. Here's a brief overview:

Kindle eBooks:

For Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), authors can choose between two royalty options:

  • 35% Royalty: Available for eBooks priced between $0.99 and $200.00. The royalty is calculated as 35% of the book's list price, minus delivery costs (based on file size).
  • 70% Royalty: Available for eBooks priced between $2.99 and $9.99. The royalty is calculated as 70% of the book's list price, minus delivery costs (based on file size) and applicable taxes.
Paperback Books:

KDP offers a 60% royalty rate for paperbacks, calculated as follows:

Royalty = (List Price - Printing Costs) x 60% - applicable taxes.

Please note that expanded distribution and sales in certain regions may result in different royalty rates.

Indeed, the author retains 100% of the film rights for their work. However, we kindly request that you share the details of any such developments with us, so we can celebrate your success and promote it through our social channels. No commission is required.

In all instances, the author retains the copyright ownership.

Upon receiving your computer-typed manuscript, written or email approval for print, and confirmed payment, we ensure your book will be available in Amazon store within 7 to 14 days. Please note that some distribution channels may require additional time, but we guarantee a timely release within Amazon store.
